Photography, for me, is about creating a narrative — framing a scene just right, or not so “right.” Sometimes it’s about highlighting a small detail; other times it’s letting shadows move through the frame. While you may remember the day or moment, my hope is that my perspective evokes new feelings, meanings, or memories.
Painting was my first love, and I often return to it for inspiration. My liberal arts education shaped my understanding of composition, color theory, layering, and the quiet value of patience. I draw inspiration from architecture, interior design, and nature, and I love exploring new mediums — most recently, stained glass. Some of my favorite artists include Egon Schiele, Helen Frankenthaler, and Francesca Woodman.
I thrive in one-on-one sessions, where trust and connection are central to the process. Some of my most meaningful work has been with my husband, which led to a series of self-love photoshoots with other trans individuals. Creating space for people to see themselves with honesty, power, and care is at the heart of what I do.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me cooking vegan food, looking for new restaurants, rearranging my home, or researching the latest ways to relax. I love curating spaces and experiences that feel intentional, affirming, and inspiring, just as I aim to do through my photography.
